What About Raja Sehari Beach, Perpat?...

In the Batu Pahat district... Minyak Beku Recreation Beach is quite synonymous for the residents of this district to relax, breathe the fresh air and enjoy the view of the sea of the Straits of Melaka which stretches wide.

In the subdistrict of Rengit... there are 2 beaches that are places for them to relax in the beach area, namely Punggor Beach and Perpat Beach. Punggor Beach is more visited by the locals of the Rengit subdistrict because of the well-organized dining facilities provided.

However... this does not mean that Perpat Beach has no charm. Perpat Beach or also known as Raja Sehari Beach at the time this blogpost was being typed the longer the more people visited. There are several food and beverage hawkers who trade on this beach in the evening because in the evening is the time when most visitors to this beach even though it is not on weekends.

At the time this blogpost was being typed... a small toilet was being built near the beach area for the convenience of visitors. There is also a small food stall made of wooden boards for visitors to eat and drink while enjoying the fresh air of the beach area.

Among the problems faced by visitors to this beach is that the entrance from the main road to this beach is quite narrow and there is no garbage bin facility for beach visitors to dispose of garbage so that the cleanliness of the beach is preserved.

This beach has great potential to be one of the main family recreation centers in this subdistrict and it is a great loss if the treasures of this natural beauty are wasted.

In the opinion of the author of this blog... the problems faced by visitors to this beach should be addressed immediately so that this beach area does not become dirty and does not cause severe traffic congestion against the villagers near this beach.

May the beauty of Raja Sehari Perpat Beach continue to be preserved beautifully and cheerfully for all of us.

Rengit Ready For The Mall?...

At the time this blogpost was being typed... Rengit there are only a few supermarkets such as Eng Hiap Seng, Selesa Supermarket, 99Speedmart (Taman Pandan Jaya 1 & Jambi), Ino (Sungai Dulang) & Ito Maju (Perpat).

The largest supermarket in Rengit is Eng Hiap Seng Supermarket and is located in downtown Rengit. Eng Hiap Seng Supermarket started operating in 1999 and the supermarket is over 20 years old.

Looking at the growing Rengit population and even the growing purchasing power... even the number of supermarkets is increasing for the Rengit Subdistrict... plus the first and largest supermarket in Rengit is over 20 years old... in view author of this blog... it is time for Rengit town to have the first mall in this town and subdistrict so that Rengit residents and those close to them such as Benut & Senggarang do not have to go to malls in Batu Pahat (Penggaram), Pontian (Pontian) Kechil), Kluang (Mengkibol), Kulai town, Johor Bahru city (Tanjung Puteri), Skudai town, Iskandar Puteri city (Medini Iskandar), Pasir Gudang city, Simpang Renggam town, Parit Raja town, Yong Peng town and so on to get out shopping or just hanging out at the mall alone, with family or friends.

At the time this blogpost was typed... blog authors heard rumors that Econsave hypermarket will open their branch in Rengit in a new business area near Wisma Pengakap Rengit / SMK Tun Sardon.

Econsave hypermarket is not a retail place that can be considered a real mall but as a test market... it can be considered an attempt to see how far Rengit is ready for a real mall.

For Rengit area... malls do not need to be as big as the malls in Batu Pahat (The Summit, Wira Court, Square One & Batu Pahat Mall). The author of this blog once visited a mall in the town of Pontian Kechil which is Plaza Pontian. In the opinion of the author of this blog... Rengit area can have such a mall size or just 70% - 80% of the size of the Plaza Pontian mall.

Although the size of the mall is small but there can still be important services and brands such as fast food restaurants, family entertainment centers (family karaoke, cinemas, game arcades and so on), fashion boutiques and many more.

Is Rengit ready for the mall?...

Parish 11 Sungai Punggur is a parish located in the subdistrict of Rengit and also the district of Batu Pahat. At the time this blogpost was being typed... this parish was administered by a head of parish named MR. SHAISUDDIN BIN SABARI @ MAK SOM.

The Parish 11 Sungai Punggur parish and the head of parish administrative center is located in Perpat Village.

At this Parish 11 Sungai Punggur parish and the head of parish central administrative office... the parish residents will get stamps and signatures related to the government administration in this parish.

Parish 12 Sungai Kluang is a parish located in the subdistrict of Rengit and also the Batu Pahat district. At the time this blogpost was being typed... this parish was administered by a head of parish named MR. MOHD RADHI BIN JEMARI @ JAMHARI.

The administrative center of the parish and head of parish of Parish 12 Sungai Kluang is located in Seri Merlong Village.

At this Parish 12 Sungai Kluang parish and the head of parish administrative center office... parish residents will get stamps and signatures related to the government administration in this parish.

While this blogpost is being typed... most local government-owned radios through the Malaysian Broadcasting Department under the Malaysia Ministry of Communications & Multimedia (KKMM) are only at the state level.

Unlike in our neighboring country, the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI)... Malaysia does not have a local public radio station at the district, subdistrict and local authority level. Indonesia not only has public television stations at the national level but there are even public television stations in every province operated by the Republic of Indonesia Television (TVRI) while at the district / city level there are radio stations local public operated by Republic of Indonesia Radio (RRI).

In further enhancing efforts to deliver the platform of aspirations and government policies to the people, convey local news information to the people, preserve / nurture / further develop local cultural arts... in the opinion of the authors of this blog... it is time for Radio & Television of Malaysia (RTM) one step further by creating local public television stations in each state and local public radio stations in each district, subdistrict and local authority under the operation of Radio & Television of Malaysia (RTM).

And because of that... in the opinion of the author of this blog... the subdistrict of Rengit has the potential to have its own RTM radio station one day in the future.

Anyway... the author of this blog hopes this thing can become real one day in the future.

At the time this blogpost was being typed... Batu Pahat city (Penggaram) has 3 private hospitals, namely KPJ Hospital (Mutiara Gading), Pantai Hospital (Jalan Kluang) & Putra Hospital (Peserai).

Although the town of Rengit is not as big as Batu Pahat (Penggaram) and this subdistrict is just an agricultural & oil palm plantation subdistrict... plus this subdistrict does not even have a government-owned district hospital through the Malaysia Ministry of Health (MOH) which is often a place for ordinary people get health treatment... but there is still room for potential for Rengit to have a private hospital one day in the future.

This is because the awareness and ability of Malaysians including in rural areas to obtain and own insurance policies for themselves, their family members and their employees is increasing.

Since the city of Batu Pahat (Penggaram) already have 3 private hospitals... in the opinion of the blog author... it is not an exaggeration for the author of this blog to state that there is a potential space for a private hospital that will provide health services to anyone who wants to get better health care in the southern part of Batu Pahat district, north of Pontian district and southwest of Kluang district.

In the opinion of the author of this blog... if there is a private hospital company that wants to be established in Rengit... Pantai Medical Hospital is the best option to be established in this subdistrict. The most suitable location if there is a private hospital that wants to be established in this subdistrict is in the area of Sungai Merlong.

Anyway... the author of this blog hopes this thing can become real one day in the future.

Mr DIY shop Rengit branch opened in 2019. Mr DIY shop Rengit branch is located on the main road Rengit opposite the Pasarneka Selesa retail supermarket.

Mr DIY shop is synonymous with the sale of home appliances such as faucets, toilet bowls, toilet cleaners, dishwashers, body deodorants, car perfumes, jugs, cups and many more related to it.

In the city of Batu Pahat (Penggaram)... there are various types of car showrooms such as Proton, Perodua, Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan and so on.

Although the town of Rengit is just a small and not as big as the city of Batu Pahat (Penggaram)... the author of this blog sees the town of Rengit still have the potential and space to have at least one car company based and build its showroom here.

The car company that the author of this blog is referring to is Proton. The Proton car brand is a national car company that Malaysians are proud of even though almost half of its shares are owned by a car company from China, Geely.

The author of this blog hopes this can become a reality one day in the future.

Rengit subdistrict is a subdistrict based on agriculture and oil palm plantations. This subdistrict is located within the Batu Pahat district. Unlike other towns in Batu Pahat district such as Batu Pahat (Penggaram), Yong Peng and Parit Raja... this town is not very big with many fast food restaurants such as McDonald's, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Domino's Pizza, Subway, A&W and more.

In this subdistrict ... there is a fast food restaurant called Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and that is considered an achievement of economic development that can be proud of as as the author of this blog mentioned earlier... this subdistrict is a agricultural and oil palm plantations subdistrict.

This fast food restaurant is located in the middle of Rengit town center near the traffic light junction in the middleof Rengit town center. This fast food restaurant is also close to Pasarneka Selesa grocery supermarket, Eng Hiap Seng supermarket and Mr DIY shop.

If asked to the residents of the subdistrict of Rengit... do they know Azhar Foods? The majority of them will answer yes... they know Azhar Foods very well... a food company based on chips and crackers. In fact, Azhar Foods is also recognized as the "ole-ole" center of the state of Johor.

During festive seasons such as Eidfitr... Azhar Foods will be flooded with customers who have just returned to their hometown in Rengit to buy various cakes/chips/crackers (kuih-muih) to be served to visiting guests to strengthen the bond of Eidfitr.

Azhar Foods also often receives groups of visitors from all over peninsular Malaysia and also Singapore to get chips, crackers, cakes and drinks sold here before they continue their journey to other places.

Azhar Foods is located on the main road of Rengit in Sri Bahrom. If you are from the south towards the north... This Azhar Foods is located on the left side of the road and vice versa if you are from the north towards the south... This Azhar Foods is located on the right side of the road.

Azhar Foods has a small shop branch in Johor Bahru. The small shop branch is located in Tampoi Town Center near the CIMB bank.

If you are a fan of chips, crackers and various cakes... this place should be included in your travel calendar to visit.

7-Eleven is a brand that is no stranger to the world of global retail industry. 7-Eleven or the majority of Malaysians mention 7-E is a 24-hour convenience store.

At the time this blogpost was being typed... there was a 7-Eleven operating in the middle of Rengit town center. This convenience store is located near Rengit main road and also near Pasarneka Selesa grocery supermarket, Mr DIY shop, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) fast food restaurant, Agrobank bank and also behind Rengit Maybank.

At the time this blogpost was being typed... This 7-Eleven Rengit branch has been operating for several years but has not yet reached the age of 10.

The existence of this 24-hour convenience store makes it easy for residents of the subdistrict of Rengit who work on night shifts and those who are always out of the house late at night to shop late at night where most shops in Rengit are closed late at night.

Rengit subdistrict does not have a mall like in Batu Pahat (Penggaram) but there are several supermarkets operating in Rengit for residents of Rengit subdistrict to shop.

Among the supermarkets is Eng Hiap Seng supermarket located in the middle of Rengit town center.

Unlike other retail supermarkets in the Rengit subdistrict area... this supermarket not only sells daily necessities based on food & beverages (F&B) but also sells clothing, shoes, toys, stationery, souvenirs and and so on.

At the time this blogpost was being typed... this supermarket is the largest supermarket in the subdistrict of Rengit.

This supermarket started operating in 1999 and at the time this blogpost was being typed... the age of this supermarket is over 20 years.

Unlike other supermarkets in the subdistrict of Rengit... Sakan supermarket does not sell daily necessities such as rice, chicken, vegetables, fruits and other grocery items.

Sakan supermarket can be likened to a "Departmental Store" that sells something that is not related to "Food & Beverages (F&B)" such as clothes, mats, jugs, cups and other related items.

Sakan Supermarket is located in the heart of Rengit town center... close to Eng Hiap Seng grocery supermarket and also close to Homestay Cafe Sarang Tempua.

Apart from Eng Hiap Seng supermarket... the retail supermarket in the middle of Rengit town center is Pasarneka Selesa.

The grocery store is located near the Rengit main road and close to the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) fast food restaurant, the 7-Eleven 24-hour convenience store and Mr. DIY.

There are several supermarkets in the subdistrict of Rengit... among them the Inno supermarket located in Taman Rengit Indah, Sungai Dulang.

This retail supermarket is the choice of the residents of Sungai Dulang and the area adjacent to it to spend on daily necessities because it is near and complete.

This supermarket is also located next to the office of the National Registration Department (JPN) Rengit branch.

The subdistrict of Rengit does not have budget hotel accommodation services let alone star hotel services... however... there are several homestays in the subdistrict of Rengit that can be used as accommodation if you intend to stay in Rengit.

Among the homestays available in Rengit is Homestay Tok Abah located in Kampung Sungai Dulang, Rengit.

This homestay also has a swimming pool... of course pool enthusiasts especially children will love it even you adults like it. If you have family... this homestay is the best choice for you if you intend to stay in Rengit.

The homestay also provides BBQ grill and karaoke equipment. May you relax and relax your mind.

This homestay is near Ino supermarket. So if you want to buy some food and drinks to eat at this homestay... you do not have to go to Rengit town center.

In the Rengit town area... there is a river named Sungai Rengit but for some Rengit town people... they call it "Rengit River" because they do not want confusion and name duplication with a town in the south of Kota Tinggi district, Sungai Rengit town .

In the opinion of the author of this blog... Rengit River has the potential to be developed to become a family recreation center for residents of the subdistrict of Rengit to spend time with family, relatives, friends and loved ones, especially during the weekend.

The concept of this family recreation center can be taken as a mini concept of Dataran Penggaram located in the city of Batu Pahat (Penggaram).

If this becomes a reality... the atmosphere of Rengit River will definitely undergo a positive change in terms of the beautiful and lively landscape of the environment with the presence of people in spending their time with their loved ones and friends.

I hope this becomes a reality one day in the future.

At the time this blogpost was being typed... the Rengit subdistrict area did not have a boarding school let alone a full boarding school. It can be said that almost all districts throughout Malaysia have boarding schools and full boarding schools.

Although Rengit is not a district with full district status but there is still potential for the Rengit subdistrict area to have a boarding school in the opinion of the blog author.

As a first step... the government through the Malaysia Ministry of Education & Malaysia Ministry of Works can build another new secondary school in the Rengit urban area and make and upgrade this existing SMK Tun Sardon Rengit as a premier and boarding secondary school.

Honorable (YB) Tuan Haji Ayub bin Tuan Haji Jamil who is a member of the Rengit state assembly (ADUN) once voiced his dream and vision to see this Rengit subdistrict area have a boarding school one day in the future.

The author of this blog supports this effort and hopes that one day in the future... this thing can become real.
