Batu Pahat District so far as this blogpost is being typed... there are only two local authorities, namely Batu Pahat Municipal Council (MPBP) and Yong Peng District Council (MDYP). Batu Pahat Municipal Council (MPBP) was formerly known as West Batu Pahat District Council (MDBPB) before being upgraded to Batu Pahat Municipal Council (MPBP) in 2001. Yong Peng District Council (MDYP) was formerly known as East Batu Pahat District Council (MDBPT). ) before being renamed Yong Peng District Council (MDYP) in 2001.
Should the local authority in Rengit be created and separated from the administration of Batu Pahat Municipal Council (MPBP)? The question is up to the power of the state government because the land administration and local authorities in the state are under the jurisdiction of the state government.
While this blogpost is being typed... all local authorities in the state are monitored by the Chairman of the Johor State Housing & Local Government Committee (Exco) ~ Honorable (YB) Tuan Haji Ayub bin Tuan Haji Jamil... who also is a member of the Johor state assembly for the Rengit constituency.
While this blogpost is being typed... Honorable (YB) Tuan Haji Ayub bin Tuan Haji Jamil seems to be focusing on upgrading the local authority in Johor Bahru district, namely Johor Bahru City Council (MBJB) to Johor Bahru City Hall (DBJB ) and Pasir Gudang Municipal Council (MPPG) to Pasir Gudang City Council (MBPG).
The local authority outside the Johor Bahru district that may be under the observation of the Honorable (YB) Tuan Haji Ayub bin Tuan Haji Jamil to be upgraded is the Kota Tinggi District Council (MDKT) to the Kota Tinggi Municipal Council (MPKT) because it is in the district Kota Tinggi... Pengerang Local Authority (PBTP) has been upgraded to Pengerang Municipal Council (MPP) while Kota Tinggi town which is under the administration of Kota Tinggi District Council (MDKT) has not been upgraded while major economic urbanization center and district administration such as office district level government agencies, major district level banking etc. are located in the town of Kota Tinggi. Even the population in the administrative area of Kota Tinggi District Council (MDKT) is still more if compared to the population in the administrative area of Pengerang Municipal Council (MPP). The Kota Tinggi District Council (MDKT) should be upgraded to the Kota Tinggi Municipal Council (MPKT) so that its urbanization image is balanced with the ratings.
Apart from the Kota Tinggi District Council (MDKT)... local authorities outside the Johor Bahru district who may be under the observation of the Honorable (YB) Tuan Haji Ayub bin Tuan Haji Jamil as the Chairman of the Johor State Housing & Local Government Committee (Exco) is Pontian District Council (MDP) to Pontian Municipal Council (MPP) and Yong Peng District Council (MDYP) to Yong Peng Municipal Council (MPYP).
Although many Johor residents think that the city of Batu Pahat (Penggaram) is the second largest city in Johor after the city of Johor Bahru (Tanjung Puteri)... but so... Honorable (YB) Tuan Haji Ayub bin Tuan Haji Jamil as the Chairman of the Committee Johor State Housing & Local Government (Exco) feels that the upgrade of Batu Pahat Municipal Council (MPBP) to Batu Pahat City Council (MBBP) is still far from being a reality.
Therefore... the author of this blog thinks that the Rengit Local Authority (PBTR) is still far from being real because if the matter becomes real... it will slow down the process of Batu Pahat Municipal Council (MPBP) to be upgraded to Batu City Council Pahat (MBBP) one day in the future because Rengit contributed the population figure of Batu Pahat Municipal Council (MPBP).
Anyway... the author of this blog hopes that one day in the future... this thing can become real.
